Wouter Crul, General Manager – Europe for Regrow Ag, is dedicated to leveraging digital and AI to scale promising solutions for climate action. Before coming to Regrow, he was Head of Digital Innovation at South Pole, where he built the tech, data science, UI/UX, and product owner teams responsible for developing and scaling new products. South Pole develops and implements comprehensive emission reduction projects and strategies that turn climate action into long-term business opportunities for companies, governments and organizations around the world.
Prior to South Pole, Wouter has worked at five other digital start-ups. At Royal HaskoningDHV, he accelerated the development of Societal, Environmental and Engineering Intelligence, combining AI and the great problem definers and solvers of RoyalHaskoningDHV to fuel new services and business models. Wourter also helped build the Data Science & AI business for Lloopp and ORTEC Data Science, by successfully solving business problems in Retail, Aviation, Utilities, Telco’s and Digital Engineering.
Prior to his commitment to helping companies achieve real benefits from digital transformation and AI, Wouter worked 10 years in supply chain and supply chain transformation roles for Fortune 500 companies like Unilever, Heineken, and Philips. This helped him satisfy his curiosity and drive to solve complex puzzles and make them actionable, an ambition which he embraced during his Chemical Engineering studies. Now he is looking to apply the same drive to the challenge of scaling regenerative agriculture.
