High energy prices have impacted Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). Many growers of fresh produce in Europe were confronted with exploding rates for natural gas. And high electricity rates pushed multiple vertical farms out of business. Nevertheless, the urge for higher yields, energy efficiency, reduced water consumption and labor are more relevant than ever before. What technologies can deliver on these challenges?

Rien Kamman, CEO of Source.ag, David Farquhar, CEO of Intelligent Growth Solutions, and Erik Pekkeriet of Agro Food Robotics at Wageningen University & Research, are keen to share their observations. The session will be moderated by Wilco Schoonderbeek (Horticoop).
