The EU lags behind in translating food innovation into commercially viable products — a gap that current legislation is unlikely to fix. The New Foods RegLab, launched by the Ministry of Future Affairs together with Atova Regulatory Consulting and AXON lawyers, addresses this by providing food innovators with regulatory guidance, tools and roadmap support for novel food dossiers.
Through an interactive workshop using design thinking methods, participants gain hands-on insights into EU regulatory requirements and the broader policy landscape ahead of the Biotech Act 2.
