Dr Luis Sánchez Álvarez has over 25 years of professional experience in R&D, the life sciences, and higher education in the public sector. He is a specialist in soil, water, and nutrients in agriculture, with extensive experience in innovation in Spain and at the EU level (European Innovation Council, EIC). Luis is currently working on the European Commission’s EU Mission: A Soil Deal for Europe. This project is leading the transition towards healthy soils in Europe by 2030. Luis is also interested in agri-food technology start-ups and the venture capital industry.
