Alex Datema, born in 1966, is currently serving as the Director of Food & Agri Netherlands at Rabobank. With a farming career that began in 1988, Datema is an experienced dairy farmer managing a farm in Briltil with 120 dairy cows and 70 hectares of grassland, alongside a partner in his farming business. His dedication to the industry extends beyond his farm; since 2016, he has been the chairperson of BoerenNatuur, a testament to his commitment to sustainable agriculture. Moreover, Datema contributes his expertise as a member of the Scientific Council for Integral Sustainable Agriculture and the Agro Agenda North Netherlands, highlighting his role as a key advocate for the sector’s sustainability.
