Dan Harburg is the Chief Product Officer at Mombak, a Brazil-based startup working to become the world’s largest carbon removal company through native, biodiverse reforestation of the Amazon. Founded in 2021, Mombak has raised more than $250 million in equity and debt to fund large-scale carbon removal projects. Dan leads carbon product development, offtake negotiations, carbon credit certification, MRV, and data analytics.
Previously, he was Vice President at Indigo Agriculture, where he helped design and launch its agricultural carbon business. Prior to Indigo, he held founding business development roles at early-stage startups and worked as an investor at an agriculture technology venture fund. Dan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth and completed post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard and the University of Illinois.
