Maximillian Souvereyns works as Investment Associate af Forbion, a global venture capital firm dedicated to advancing groundbreaking biotech innovations and other sustainable solutions that improve the health of people and our planet.
Prior to Forbion, Maximilien worked at the public venture fund PMV in Flandres, Belgium, focusing on seed and series A investments in the health and bioeconomy industry. Here he was responsible for the investment in Amphistar, a start-up developing biosurfactants from waste streams.
Before PMV, Maximilien worked both in corporate and start-up environments in diverse roles. He started as a research associate at the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant focusing on continuous fermentation processes and continued his career as a business and strategy development manager at Exothera, a subsidairy of Univercells focused on biomanufacturing.
Maximilien holds a MSc in Bioscience Engineering obtained at the Ghent University and Toulouse INP with a specific focus on chemistry and industrial biotechnology and a MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
