Sebastiaan Masselink brings over 25 years of experience in illiquid equity investments across both listed and private markets. In 2025, he joined Yanmar Ventures, following nearly a decade of working with specialized investment teams, including roles at Cardano Asset Management in the UK and the Netherlands. There, he led the origination and management of private impact investments on behalf of European institutions and family offices, focusing on the sustainable energy transition and agri-food sectors.
Earlier in his career, Sebastiaan spent over a decade at Kempen & Co., where he held dual roles: seven years as Managing Director of its New York-based equity practice, and five years as the founder of its Cleantech Equity Business Unit. He began his investment career at ABN AMRO Hoare Govett in Amsterdam and London, specializing in small-cap equities.
Sebastiaan holds an MSc from the University of Groningen. In addition to his role at Yanmar Ventures, he serves as a part-time business accelerator at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, supporting innovation in sustainable agriculture transitions.
