Stéphane Roussel brings more than 15 years of experience in venture capital, alongside 15 years of prior industry experience in the advanced materials and chemicals sector. At ECBF, he played a key role in the fundraising of ECBF Fund I and led the build-up of the fund’s AgTech portfolio.
Prior to joining ECBF, Stéphane founded and led Solvay Ventures, where he managed €80 million in assets, built a high-performing venture team, and oversaw investments across multiple funds and technology-driven startups, with a strong focus on sustainable materials and chemicals. Earlier in his career, he held senior corporate strategy and business development roles at Rhodia and Solvay. Stéphane combines deep industrial expertise with a proven track record in venture investing and value creation.
