Annick is heading biotope by VIB, a Belgium-based preseed incubator fund for international biotech startups in agrifood. biotope invests in teams with early stage biotech based solutions, backed by IP or IP potential and supports these in their 12-18 month journey towards seed stage readiness.
She has been working in the field for more than 15 years, as business developer, matching company requests with R&D opportunities, supporting valorisation of research and as company advisor. As a marine biologist, she has worked at EIT Food before joining VIB, where she initiated, grew and managed a European network of impactful scaleups in the field, the RisingFoodStars.
