William Pelton is a passionate plant scientist and co-founder of Phytoform, driven to use crops to tackle some of the biggest problems facing society today.
Before founding Phytoform Labs William completed a PhD in Plant science from Imperial College London, a MRes in Molecular Plant and Microbial Sciences from Imperial College and a BSc in Botany from the University of Bristol. During his career, William nurtured a fascination with plant genetics which led him to develop several novel techniques including in the field of genome editing. William also has a deep interest in how we can make our society more sustainable and less harmful to the environment and was involved in conservation projects around the world.
